Safety

A network you can
actually trust.

Arch is college-only by construction, not by promise. Every layer — who gets in, what gets posted, how problems get handled — is built for a community of real students.

The layers

🎓

The .edu gate

Signup requires a live school email — we send a code, you prove it's yours. No .edu, no account. That single rule removes bots, randos, and creeps at the front door.

🔞

18+ only

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Date of birth is checked at signup.

🛡️

Block & report, everywhere

Every profile, event, and message can be reported in two taps. Blocking is bidirectional and immediate — they vanish from your feeds, decks, and inbox, and you from theirs.

👀

A human reads every report

Reports land in a moderation queue a person actually reviews — with the power to remove content, cancel events, and ban accounts. Not an AI auto-closer.

🖼️

Photo screening

Uploaded photos pass through automated content screening before they spread, with human review for anything borderline.

📍

Location, coarsely

Your exact location is never shown to other users. Proximity is computed server-side; travelers get a chip, never a pin. Event hosts can hide the exact address until you RSVP.

The business model is the safety model

No ads. No data sales.

Arch makes money one way: an optional subscription. We don't sell ads, we don't sell data, and we don't build engagement traps to farm your attention — the 10-swipe cap exists because we don't need you scrolling at 3am. You're the user, not the product.

See something? Say something.

Report in-app, or reach a human directly — we read everything.
